It's HAIRSPRAY!!!

Tonight is the Final Dress Rehearsal for Hairspray at Signature Theatre! I can't even believe that it is November, let alone that we start official previews of Hairspray tomorrow! Where does all the time go? I feel like we were just doing Boy Detective!

The show is going to be really amazing, everyone. Everyone in it is giving their all, and it shows!

The Selfish Giant

My latest project post Sunset Boulevard is an adaptation of Oscar Wilde's The Selfish Giant. Matt Conner and I adapted the script, along with Laura Connors Hull. Margie jervis was the scenic designer and Puppet Designer. This new adaptation features new original songs by Matt Conner.
This is my first foray into large scale puppeteering, and I am really loving it! This will hopefully be only the first exploration of this art for me, as I am enjoying the challenge of it. It is a whole new level of conveying emotion and expression that is just fascinating to me. Margie Jervis has designed such a wonderful puppet that it is easy to convey his emotions. The songs by Matt Conner are both joyous and moving when they need to be. They are simply gorgeous...but hey...it's Matt Conner. What do you expect? lol.
The show runs on Friday nights, Saturdays at 2 and &:30, and Sundays at 2pm for the next 3 weekends. tickets are $12 Adults, $10 Children. For more information, or to purchase tickets, click HERE or call

Super Claudio Bros. is almost ready to show itself to the world on Saturday. We had our first dress rehearsal yesterday, and have another today. Tomorrow we move to the actual theatre, Saturday we open. It has been quite a whirlwind, but way worth it, and the results of every one's hard work are clear across the board. The DC Fringe Festival show that I am in, Super Claudio Bros, has me very busy in rehearsal right now. (Hence the lack of posts on here). The show is hysterical, and touching, and everything that you would want a video game musical to be. Sam Ludwig and I play the two brothers in question. The show also stars Lauren Williams, Gia Mora, Matt Anderson, Chris Sizemore, Karissa Swanigan, Gillian Shelly and Harry A. Winter. We will be performing the show at Studio Theatre's Mead Theatre for the first 2 weeks, then to Warehouse Theatre for the last weekend. Full Details are available at the show's website, HERE.

HIFI - Rehearsal Blog - Part 4; Opening Night

We had our last rehearsal last night, and tonight we open High Fidelity at DCAC. It has been a great experience thus far, and I am so psyched to be involved in the DC premiere of this show. I really have fallen in love with it. Here in these photos, you can see more of the full set, and can get some kind of idea what the record store looks like. So I hope all of you come on in for a vintage Decca! The other perks of coming to see our show, we are right across the street from Madam's Organ and also, my new favorite place on Earth: Jumbo Slice Pizza.
The neighborhood of Adams Morgan is so cool and diverse, and I really do love it. I saw this on Madam's Organ's website:
"Adams Morgan, gets it's name from the two schools that used to be located in this area; The Adams School and The Morgan School. In times of segregation, one school was designated for white people and the other for black people. The bringing together of the name represents the bringing together of the people. Now, the Adams Morgan neighborhood is much more than just black and white; it's a thriving and exceptionally harmonious multicultural society."
Cool, huh? I did not know that. Ok, so I will see you at the record store, folks!

We had almost the entire band here today, and things are really fitting together now. Today was the last Morning rehearsal, so you know I am happy about that. lol.
