Are you kidding me!!! What the hell is wrong with people...I'm sorry, I was going to come up with some profound comment but I am so furious right now...I read every single one of those books when I was under the age of 12...(Ok not Captain Underpants...my mom gave me that for Christmas two years agao, but still!!) Do people think that by...nevermind...preachin' to the choir.
Warning: time for some Stage-mom self-righteous indignation because this type of censorship drives me crazy!
My 12-year old boy has read most of these books, plus memorized most of RENT and AVENUE Q, and anything else interesting he can get his hands on. He is intelligent, mature, well behaved and knows what is appropriate and when.
He has a versatile vocabulary, and I am proud to say he could curse in grammatically correct sentences if he wanted.
okay, now I sheepishly step down from the soap box...
