This past Thursday was the 50th Anniversary of the launch of the Sputnik launch, and since the ending scene of Merrily We Roll Along at Signature Theatre, which is entering it's closing week on Tuesday, ends with the hopeful three gazing up at Sputnik, all of the cast went to the roof of the Signature Theatre for a toast that night. They even fashioned outfits out of tin foil, so I hear.
Below is an example of the tin foil couture that was on display for the roof top gathering, modeled by Tracy Lynn Olivera. Now that is one hell of a hat. I bet it even picks up AM/FM stations.
